The BBC would welcome responses to this request for information (RFI) in order to inform our thinking prior to any potential procurement exercise.

The purpose of this Request for Information is to provide the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) with information from the market to identify potential providers that have the capability to support the BBC’s strategic goal of being an ‘Accessible First’ organisation.

At a high level, the BBC is interested in responses from providers that can offer services to meet one or all of the following requirements:

a) Accessibility Assessments and Remediation Strategies for the BBC’s:

b) Provision of Training and Learning Resources for Digital Accessibility, Assistive Technology and Inclusive Design

c) Provision of specialist resource and services to create digital products and tools

d) Strategy, Events, Change Management and Project management and analysis support for Accessibility and Inclusion

e) User Testing for Digital Accessibility and Inclusion

f) Provision of consulting and services to ensure marketing, communications and training are all accessible

g) Benchmarking the accessibility of BBC audience-facing and staff-facing products

six.3) Additional information

In the case of technology requirements, the BBC may involve its technology partner (Atos IT Solutions and Services Limited) to assist in the scoping and drafting of invitations to tender and/or the evaluation of tenders. However, the final decision as to which is the most economically advantageous (by reference to the award criteria) will be made by the BBC. The awarding authority reserves the right not to award a contract and to annul the procurement process at any stage. Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in sterling and all payments will be made in sterling. The contract shall be subject to English law. The awarding authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest, or any tender and reserves the right to accept part of a tender unless the tenderer expressly stipulates otherwise in the tender document.
