two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Photographic Archive contains photographs, technical images and X-ray plates documenting and examining the paintings in the gallery collection as well as photography recording the building, its staff, visitors and exhibitions.

The ultimate purpose of this project is to digitise the analogue images of the collection to archival standards creating digital assets for a variety of uses including, but not limited to; conservation and digital preservation, publication, print, film and digital publishing, commercial use and collections management.

Candidates are invited to submit a tender for the digitisation and delivery of circa 24,894 B/W negatives held in various-negative format and circa 24,148 X-ray positives, colour negatives and transparencies.
