The Contract is for the provision of Employers Agent services for Land, Design and Build projects (package deals where a developer provides the site, designs, builds and completes the project) arising out of successful bids being received for the competitions run by Radius Housing Association.
The contract will be for 2 years with the Association having the option to extend for 2 further periods of 12 months each (2+1+1).
It is anticipated that more than one scheme / development may be progressed from some or all competitions and therefore more than one Employers Agent Contract may be let from competitions to the successful tenderer. For the avoidance of doubt each Design and Build scheme will be treated as a separate and individual project with its own timeline for completion and it follows that each award to the Employers Agent to represent Radius in the delivery of these schemes will be individual and separate.
Each Employers Agent Team must include an Architect and Quantity Surveyor providing the service in conjunction with each other. Either discipline may take the role as lead consultant for the purposes of the provision of the services; the other discipline will act as the Lead Consultant’s Sub Consultant.
A summary of the services that the appointed Employers Agent will be required to provide are identified below (full details are provided in the Scope of Services):
- Evaluation of Tender Competitions and Preparation of a Tender Report.
- Assisting the Association to ensure that bids attain all statutory and regulatory approvals.
- Preparation of Contract Documents
