Translink owns, operates and maintains the rail network in Northern Ireland comprising 300 miles of plain line track and 200 sets of switches and crossings. We wish to establish a Framework for the supply of concrete sleepers for plain line track to support the delivery of Translink’s programme of capital and maintenance works. The framework will initially run for 4 years with options to extend up to a maximum of a further 4 years.
Sleepers are pre-tensioned prestressed concrete produced to a Translink design for 1600mm track gauge with 1 in 20 rail inclination using Pandrol e-clip fastening arrangements.
We would like to receive expressions of interest from suppliers with a proven track record in the manufacture of high quality prestressed concrete products to exacting standards who would be able to produce a minimum of 12,000 sleepers per annum.
