The initial Term shall be three (3) years/ 36 months. HiS may renew the Contract for a further two (2) years and subsequently by a further two (2) years, the maximum Term seven (7) years.

The following options apply throughout the Term
1. For HIS to extend the initial Term of three (3) years, by a further two (2) years and subsequently by a further two (2) years, maximum Term seven (7) years.
2. For HIS to mutually agree alternative extensions to the Term after year three (3), provided the total Term does not exceed seven (7) years.
3. For HIS to order any other housing related repair or maintenance work they choose to order.
4. For HIS to review and change the commercial or contract management arrangements for the Contract at any time during the Term.
5. For other members of the new Somerset Unitary Authority to join the Contract in part or in full, including the migration of work currently being undertaken by a DLO within the Somerset Unitary Authority the process for which will form part of a Business Case and will managed as a planned, structured process.
6. For some or all of the work to migrate to a Direct Labour Organisation during the Term, which may be within HIS or may be elsewhere within the new Somerset Unitary Authority, the process for which will form part of a HIS Business Case and will managed as a planned, structured process.
7. For HIS or Somerset Unitary Authority to form a Special Purpose Vehicle to undertake business related activities that include repairs, maintenance and void works and the scope of this Contract and for this Contract to be novated to the Special Purpose Vehicle in part or full
