The London Borough of Hillingdon require further provision for secondary school spaces for pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

The Council agreed to progress with this project known as (Northwood Road, Harefield) to design and build a brand-new satellite school off Northwood Road in Harefield, Uxbridge, Hillingdon.

• The erection of academic building (Use Class F1), along with and ancillary structures including heat pump and substation enclosures, construction of a multi-use games area, revised vehicular access, landscaping, car and cycle parking and associated works).

• This brand-new permanent satellite school for the London Borough of Hillingdon along Northwood Road, Harefield) is to accommodate up to 100 pupils and was to be completed with Practical completion due to be June 2026.

• This new site was purchased from and is adjacent to Harefield School, owned and run by an Academy Trust, and which is completely separate to the above new site owned by the London Borough of Hillingdon who purchased the land from the academy trust.

A limited number of works have commenced by a previous contractor which unfortunately went into administration. The demolition work is 100% complete and the piling is 99% complete, with groundworks 10-15% complete.
