As part of this market engagement, Southend-on-Sea City Council (the Council) invites electronic responses from organisations who are positioned to successfully provide the Council's Parks Tennis Programme. The Parks Tennis Programme needs to be provided to the highest quality, delivering a strong community focus, whilst maximising the potential usage at each of the sites.
There are eight park tennis sites (the Sites), consisting of a total of nineteen tennis courts. Two of the sites, providing seven tennis courts in total, have floodlights. The Council in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association have financially invested in each of the eight sites. All court surfaces, line markings, fencing, gate access systems and associated facilities are in good condition and available solely for tennis usage. The Council is undertaking market engagement advertised on the Find a Tender Service and on Contracts Finder. The information the Council receives from the market engagement will be key in assisting the Council to further evaluate its options, validate gathered information, and assist in clarifying the procurement process required.
Specifically, this market engagement is seeking to gather further information relating to the technical and commercial aspects of the venture, to maximise all possible positive outcomes. This will include the market's capability and enthusiasm to successfully partner with the Council on this exciting opportunity to undertake the Parks Tennis Programme.
To do this, we are seeking further information and discussion with suitably experienced organisations which have expertise in running and promoting sites such as, and similar to, the ones outlined above.
This market engagement is not a call for competition.
