The Thinking Schools Academy Trust is inviting suitably qualified and experienced organisations to tender for the cleaning contracts at all but one of its current schools, with potential for that and other schools to be included into the contract, during the term, inclusive of any extensions.

Cleaning is generally over 39 weeks per year during term time with an additional 20 days outside of term time. There are exceptions and some schools have cleaning services over 51 weeks of the year (Christmas week is excluded), so that specific areas, such as offices and letting areas, are consistently cleaned outside of term time.

There are three Lots, split geographically (South East, South Central and South West) and tenderers may bid for one or more Lots, up to and including all three.

The Contracts are for 3 years, with potential for 2 x 12-month extensions, subject to meeting the performance criteria, as laid down in the contract documents.

A contract will be awarded for each Lot.

The Thinking Schools Academy Trust is inviting suitably qualified and experienced organisations to tender for the cleaning contract, covering all of its schools in Portsmouth.

There is potential for other schools to be included into the contract, during the term, inclusive of any extensions, as new schools join the Trust.

Cleaning is generally over 39 weeks per year, during term time with an additional 20 days outside of term time. There are exceptions and some schools have cleaning services over 51 weeks of the year (Christmas week is excluded), so that specific areas, such as offices and letting areas, are consistently cleaned outside of term time.

There are currently six primary and one secondary school in the Portsmouth area of the Trust.

There is potential for that and other schools to be included into the contract, during the term, inclusive of any extensions.

Cleaning is generally over 39 weeks per year, during term time with an additional 20 days outside of term time. There are exceptions and some schools have cleaning services over 51 weeks of the year (Christmas week is excluded), so that specific areas, such as offices and letting areas, are consistently cleaned outside of term time.

There are currently four primary and five secondary schools in the Kent area of the Trust, with all but one being situated within the Medway area. The other is in Deal. Eight of the schools are included in this tender exercise.

The Trust considers that the Contracts may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement exercise.

The Trust reserves the right not to award any or all of the contracts and reserves the right to terminate the procurement process at any time. Should this happen then the Trust will not be liable for any costs incurred, by an Organisation, who was intending to bid for one of the contracts.
