two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) will procure for Occupational Health (OH) and/or Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services, including enhanced Bullying, Harassment & Discrimination (BHDV) helpline services. This may be a combined contract or it may consist of separate OH and EAP contracts to fulfil legal requirements to the employees.
The MOD requires an OH and EAP service for approximately 51,000 industrial and non-industrial civil servants employed by the MOD and based primarily throughout the UK including Northern Ireland (NI) and a number of locations overseas. The BHDV services is a variant of EAP and is available to all civilian and military grades (c250,000).
OH services will be required at both supplier locations and on MOD sites dependant on the service, where suitable some of these services may be delivered remotely. EAP services are expected to provide emotional and wellbeing support and counselling to our diverse population.
