Nottinghamshire County Council are procuring for the supply and distribution of fresh meat. It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded to a sole Supplier who will serve the whole of Nottinghamshire County.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Nottinghamshire County Council require regular, reliable deliveries of good quality fresh meat to a range of sites across the County. Mainly the sites that will be supplied under this contract will be schools, but the contract will also meet the requirements for fresh meat of the Council’s day services, children’s residential homes and its trading arm County Enterprise Foods in Worksop.

The objective of this process is to competitively procure for the supply and distribution of fresh meat. It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded to a sole Supplier who will serve the whole of Nottinghamshire County.

The maximum term of this contract will be 4 years. The initial contract will be awarded for two years from 1st July 2021 to 30th June 2023 with an opportunity to extend for a further two years in increments of up to one year. Therefore, the estimated contract value over the maximum potential term of the arrangement is in the region of £5.6 million.
