Contract value = £242,944 per annum. £1,214,720 over the 5 year term of the contract (Initial 3 year plus two 1 year optional extensions)
Snapethorpe Primary School and Lawefield Primary School have combined to tender their catering services. The two schools remain independent of each other but intend to award their catering contract to a single organisation for both schools for an initial 3 year period with two 1 year optional extensions. The schools have a combined vision of good food that supports learning, and a successful provider that encourages uptake of school meals. Both schools are Wakefield Local Authority primary schools.
Both Schools currently outsource their catering provision, with Snapethorpe Primary current contract ending 31st August 2022, and Lawefield Primary contract ending 31st August 2023.
Snapethorpe Primary School has 604 pupils with a capacity of 669 FTE pupils ranging from reception through Key stage 1 to Key Stage 2, a nursery class. There are 251 pupils entitled to UIFSM of which 100 are eligible for FSM. In KS2 180 pupils are eligible for FSM They have 107 staff. Lawefield Primary School has 396 pupils with a capacity for 420 pupils, ranging from Key Stage 1 to key Stage 2, a nursery and reception class. There are 130 pupils eligible for free school meals and 117 pupils eligible for universal free school meals. They have 61 staff.
