two.4) Short description of nature and scope of works or nature and quantity or value of supplies or services

The Project Delivery Partner (PDP) Successor will replace the current framework contract. The extant framework has been hugely successful, having provided hundreds of pre-sifted, Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person (SQEP) resources in the Project Delivery and Integrated Logistics functions within DE&S over the course of the contract.

There is an ongoing need for DE&S to have continuing access to contingent labour and specific tasking therefore DE&S is considering options for a successor contract and developing its strategy for the future procurement.

As we move into the next phase of assessing options for the PDP successor contract it is the perfect time for the Authority to share with industry its preliminary requirements and gauge potential interest from the wider marketplace on the viability of the concept to inform our future procurement strategy.

A supplier forum is being planned for 14th February 2021 at which the Authority will share an outline plan and overall intent. The Authority will also look to set out a Request for Information (RFI) seeking information on, for example:

• general understanding of the potential supply base in the market;

• associated lessons learnt, risks, issues, opportunities and benefits;

• opportunities to enhance effectiveness and/or efficiency based on their experience in the UK Defence or allied nation’s supply chain;

• industry products, services and capabilities that could meet the requirement;

• gather and/or validate market intelligence.

The supplier forum will be held virtually, and the outline agenda (subject to change) is:

• Headline Address;

• DE&S - Programmes and Change Directorate, overview.

. DE&S domain and functional operating model

• PDP successor brief.

To secure your place at the event please email Clare.Bonser106@mod.gov.uk before the 10th of February to get access to the Microsoft Teams meeting invite. The Microsoft Teams meeting invite will be send out on Friday 11th of February.
