The NSSR is a Division in the DfT and is the primary source of transport security technical expertise in Whitehall. The NSSR Programme is key to providing a robust scientific evidence base to wider policy, developing transport security solutions, and setting and ensuring compliance against standards for security equipment across all transport modes.
This contract award notice is to confirm the appointment of PA Consulting to deliver and manage the NSSR Programme. This includes delivering a range of research, analysis and innovation activity, either directly or through a third party, as per the Requirements (1-8).
Further Requirements will also be developed throughout the contract term. The DfT, therefore, expects to build a collaborative relationship with the awarded supplier with the expectation that the Requirements included in the tender pack and those new throughout the contract term will be delivered under this NSSR Programme.
