Upgrade of the outer harbour at the port of Lowestoft.The ultimate objective of Project is to deliver a comprehensive port infrastructure upgrade within the Outer Harbour at the Port of Lowestoft. These upgrades are necessary to enable the Port to capture the significant SNS (Southern North Sea) offshore energy opportunities. The Project will provide upgraded quayside and deeper water, which will permit the berthing, refuelling and cargo handling of PSV (Platform Supply vessels), W2W (Walk-to-Work vessels) and SOV (Service Operations vessels). All three of the vessel types are utilised daily within the renewables and O&G (Oil and Gas) sectors, but do not currently visit the Port of Lowestoft.
