The West Mercia Police & Crime Commissioner (the Authority) is to invite tenders for provision of Installation and Maintenance of Average Speed Cameras on the A449, upon the terms and conditions set out in the ITT. The Contract will commence from the date of the purchase order and shall run for a period of 3 years with an option to extend at the Authority’s discretion for a further 2 x 12 months following a review of the service.

The Authority is seeking the provision to award a contract to a sole supplier for the Purchase, Installation and Implementation & Maintenance of Average Speed Enforcement Cameras System on A449 from Ombersley to Hartlebury for a period of 3 years with the option to extend further 2 x annually as required.
The Authority aim is to improve Road Safety Resident Wellbeing for the communities that live along the A449 this can be measured in health and safety environmental terms. The Outcome would be less accidents improved driver awareness improved safety for both driver and residents.
