The Council currently cuts grass seasonally on open spaces and verges across the Vale of Glamorgan. Historically the grass cutting season has been between March and October annually and undertaken on a 15 working day cycle. The Services include grass cutting, strimming and blowing.
Within this current contract we will also be looking at a percentage of the grass cutting to be cut and managed as “wildflower areas”. This would consist of two cuts per season (March and September / October) with all arisings collected, removed from site and disposed of by the supplier at their cost, with all clean cuttings composted.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Vale of Glamorgan Council (“the Council”) requires grass cutting services at various locations throughout the Vale of Glamorgan area (“the Services”).
Any future agreement will be in the form of a framework and will operate for a period of three (3) years, with the option to extend for up to an additional one (1) year.
