Explanation:

A procurement process commencing with market engagement was scheduled to commence in April 2020 but due to COVID-19 pressures on both providers and commissioners this was paused.

In light of these pressures and in line with the Procurement Policy Note (PPN 01/20) released by the Cabinet Office, an STA was approved to ensure continuity of service.

The Commissioner will act in accordance with Part 3 Chapter 5 Regulation 85 to 87 and Part 3 Chapter 6 Regulation 88 to 104 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (SI 2015 No 102) (PCR 2015)(as amended).
