The University of Sunderland is seeking to appoint a single (Principal) contractor to undertake the demolition and asbestos removal of the Design Centre, a three-storey office building with partial basement (plant room). The estimated start date is May 2022.The demolition contractor shall be responsible for statutory obligations with Highways for any temporary diversions. The contractor shall erect perimeter hoarding and shall be responsible in the event of vandalism or damage from weather to make good during the contract period. The successful contractor will need to provide certification that asbestos has been disposed to a licenced waste site and provide the necessary waste documentation for landfill or recycled material stating quantities/ ratio.
