We plan to conduct a procurement process in the Spring of 2025 for our international payment service, following an early market engagement exercise.

Most of our members are based in the UK, however some reside overseas. We require an international payment service to pay monthly member benefits to these members or their beneficiaries.

This PIN is intended to alert potential suppliers of the opportunity and direct them to a short RFI Questionnaire as part of our early market engagement.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

We currently pay over 300,000 members and make payments of over £70m per month. Approximately 4,000 of these members reside overseas in over 50 different countries. We therefore have a requirement to pay overseas bank accounts either in GBP or national currency. We currently use an external payment provider to facilitate these payments, working alongside our payroll team and systems.

Given many of these pensioners rely on their PPF compensation for their income, it is imperative that our overseas solution is reliable, robust, and provides value for money.

We administer the member payments and records, so would not expect an overseas payroll provider to have direct contact with members, only our internal team.
