Wellspring Academy Trust is a community of 28 academies over 40+ sites, located across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. This includes a large central support team in Barnsley. Currently the Trust has approximately 2000 employees and 5000 pupils. The Trusts’ digital strategy is focused on creating a robust digital ecosystem that can operate at scale and support future growth. It is their belief that IT systems should just work, and that the customer/user experience should be friction free and that IT and Digital technologies should act as an enabler and not a barrier. In the classrooms, IT and Digital technologies should be engaging, immersive and exciting for their students. Currently, ICT support is provided across the Trust through an outsourced provider. In addition, a small in-house IT team support partnership of four special schools within the Trust. The Contract period will be for 2 years initially with the option to extend for a further two year period.
