two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Orbit are seeking to appoint a suitable provider undertake an extensive Scan to BIM surveying project to capture the existing condition of their high-risk properties (18 meters and above) and also specific complex buildings as specified in the tender documents. The vision is to develop a digital portfolio of their built assets in line with the information requirements that will allow for a more innovative way to manage operations, maintenance and investments using their bespoke CAFM system. Thus, multiple objectives are driving this project; the timeframes are set out by the Building Safety Act 2022, which requires Orbit Group to ensure they have the correct information by the end of October 2023. Consultancy services will be required for any additional works to ensure the client meets the requirements of ISO19650.
The contract is expected to commence on 3rd April 2023 and will be for a period of three years until 2nd April 2026, with the option to extend for up to a further one year until 2nd April 2027.
Potential contractors are advised to acquaint themselves fully with the extent and nature of the services / works, and contractual obligations.
