two.1.4) Short description
Norfolk County Council has procured a service, to commence April 2023, aimed at supporting vulnerable parents in Norfolk who have experienced care proceedings leading to the removal of children from their care. The procurement will be delivering against Public Health and Children’s Social Care priorities with agreed targets and deliverables. The service should be responsive to demand, acknowledging that while the highest levels of need are most likely to be in Norfolk’s urban hubs (Norwich, King’s Lynn and Great Yarmouth) support will also need to be accessible to service users in more rural areas such as Breckland, South and North Norfolk. There are numerous, complex reasons that can lead to a family experiencing the removal of a child/children and we want to see fewer children coming in to care with fewer parents experiencing the loss associated with children being removed.
