The Academy is a Church of England Academy that has children at the heart of everything they do. Their smart, well behaved students are happy and proud of their school. They are a high achieving school with children who are well prepared for their next steps in life.
They provide exciting and challenging teaching which encourages students to want to learn and to be independent learners; young people who can think for themselves, express themselves easily and function in a wide variety of environments. In order to do this they have created a positive ethos which is focused on raising the students' self-esteem through reward and recognition. The more successful you feel, the more successful you will be. They have a strong team of excellent teachers and support staff all with the common aim of developing every student to achieve or surpass their potential.
Their varied curriculum is broad and balanced, with art, dance, drama, music, food technology and product design all featuring in their curriculum as they recognise the value of developing the whole child experience. Beyond this there is a rich mix of extra-curricular opportunities with designated support for homework and extra study available each day.
