The objective is to secure an effective, efficient and fit for purpose combined Make Ready

and Soft FM service.

SCAS requires a fully managed Make Ready service every 24 hours to ensure the scheduled

required number of frontline A&E vehicles and other supporting operational vehicles are

cleaned, re-stocked, fully equipped and ready for use, when and where needed. on a 24/7

basis to meet SCAS’s operational demands. Working out of 19 ambulance stations providing

services to a total of 46 locations the service is to include periodic cleaning of both frontline

A&E vehicles and Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPTS) vehicles.

Soft FM service is required at 63 locations across 6 counties covering a range of facility

types. As an example these include the Head Office in Bicester, station 'hubs' operational 24

hours and small 'stand by points'.
