Scope
Description
South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority are seeking to establish a closed framework for the Supply of Rail for use on the Sheffield Supertram Light Rail Network.
The framework will be split into 2 Lots:
Lot 1 - Grooved Rail
Lot 2 - Flat Bottomed Rail

Lot 1. Lot 1 - Grooved Rail
Description
To facilitate the next rail replacement programme, SYMCA need to procure additional grooved (embedded) rails (Lot 1) suitable for installation on the tram network.For Call-off 1, the supplier is to provide the following quantities of grooved rail:• Amount - 500t (METRIC TONNES)• Rail to be supplied in nominally 18.288m length, within the tolerance in BS EN14811:2019.
Lot 2. Lot 2 - Flat Bottomed Rail
Description
To facilitate the next rail replacement programme, SYMCA need to procure additional flat bottom/Vignole rails (Lot 2) suitable for installation on the tram network.For Call-off 1, the supplier is to provide the following quantities of flat bottom rail:• Amount -300t (METRIC TONNES)• Rail to be supplied in nominally 18.288m length, within the tolerance in BSEN13674-4:2019.• All rails to be undrilled.
