Description
The Council wishes to appoint an authorised Contractor to transport waste from Belfast City Council's Recycling Centre’s, Civic amenity sites, Parks and Cleansing sites, Duncrue Complex, the Zoo and other Council premises as required to the Councils Waste Transfer Station or onward to other contractors for further treatment.
We also require a contractor to provide a range of skip containers to various council sites and facilities for long and short-term hire when required.
Lot Lot 1. Removal, transportation, and emptying of Skips and Hook Lift Containers
Description
Hauling skips and hook lifts from recycling centres or the council parks to the Council's Waste Transfer Station or to other contractors for further waste treatment.
Lot Lot 2. Hire of Skip and Hook Lift Containers
Description
The Council require the hire of skips and hook lift containers for its 24 parks sites with various sizes of rear end loading open top skips and one closed skip, ranging from 8 yd3 to 12 yd3 capacity.

The right to additional purchases while the contract is valid.
The Council reserves the right to add the following additional requirements to the Service under this Contract during the Contract Period: -
• The collection and transportation of other waste items or waste containers to support in-house operations.
• The hire of other sizes or types of skips/containers not outlined in the specification
• Other similar waste material in the event of non or poor performance by another service provider.
• Additional Premises not listed in the Contract. This may be in response to new Premises being identified and/or changes in how the Council’s in house operations are resourced and delivered.
• Temporary support for the Council’s in house operations to cover any shortfall in available resources.
• Introduce required changes associated with the Service to the Specification to accommodate changes to the Council’s operational model and working practices e.g. functional re-structuring, new customer hub, etc;
• Major incident/ environmental incident that requires resource support i.e. waste clean up/spill, additional waste vehicles or additional qualified resources.
• The Council reserves the right to add or remove Premises from the Contract in line with the Council’s requirements. Where the Council identifies an additional Premises to be added the Contractor will expected to price based similar Premises/ tasks priced in the Pricing Schedule.
