Non-committal contract for the provision of Locum Sonographer for Vascular and Non-Obstetric Ultrasound services. Provision will be requested by the Health Board on an ad hoc requirement to cover unforeseen staff shortages during contract period.
This is a non-committal contract, the contract value detailed will be a maximum spend during the contract period. Monthly activity will be determined and approved by Health Board Workforce Board and agreed with the provider prior to month start.

Explanation:
Provision of this service is initially sought via NHS Staffing routes and existing contracts in place first. Due to shortages in available staff in Wales for this service expertise, the normal route to cover is routinely unavailable. This contract is non-committal and will only be called off when normal routes cannot satisfy requirement.
