seven.2.1) Description of the modifications

Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):

Value of contract has increased. Spend has increased from the original projected sum (not known at the time of approval) due to policy changes implemented to ensure the Council's compliance with statutory health and safety duty holder responsibilities. This is in accordance with Regulation 72 of the PCR 2015.

Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee.

Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:

Spend has increased from the original projected sum (not known at the time of approval) due to policy changes implemented to ensure the Council's compliance with statutory health and safety duty holder responsibilities. This is in accordance with Regulation 72 of the PCR 2015.
