BID DESCRIPTION:

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is planning to run a Community Grant Round to allocate two years' funding to local community-based providers to extend the offers of group work to domestic abuse survivors to each of the six county districts.

This includes:

• Peterborough

• Cambridge City

• East Cambridgeshire

• South Cambridgeshire

• Huntingdonshire

• Fenland

Supporting Victims and Witnesses by providing them with access to support services that are responsive to their individual needs is a key pillar within the Commissioner's Police and Crime Plan.

The intention of the Community Grant round is to:

• extend the offer and availability of place-based group support to survivors of domestic abuse across the county

• enable providers to develop and deliver group work offers which are bespoke to the needs of local victims

• address the current inequitable provision of place-based group work

• build community resilience and encourage volunteering

• reduce feelings of isolation / barriers faced by those victims in need of contact

• support victims of domestic abuse to have coped and built the resilience to move forward with daily life

This Community Grant Round will be open to charitable and community organisations based within the county boundaries of Cambridgeshire.

Details of how to bid into the fund will be published w/c 05/01/2026 on the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Police and Crime Commissioner website:
