The Review of Electricity Market Arrangements (REMA) was launched in 2022 to ensure that Great Britain’s electricity markets are fit for purpose to 2030 and beyond, to unlock the full potential of low carbon technologies for the benefit of consumers, reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, and enhance security of supply. Having carefully considered major changes to the wholesale electricity market, i.e. a move to zonal or reformed national pricing, changes to dispatch, and/or changes to network access, it has been decided that Great Britain will retain a single national wholesale market pricing regime.
We anticipate a significant number of codes and licences that would be impacted by RNP reforms. The codes in particular are lengthy, and complex. As such, we require commercial expertise from professionals who work in applying these codes to provide insights into the scale of code amendments required, and how reforms to codes influence real-world scenarios.
