NHS Norfolk & Waveney ICB (NWICB) seeks competitive bids for the Provision of a Learning Disability Respite Service for People aged 18+ with a learning disability, who are under the duty of care of NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and are registered with a GP within Norfolk & Waveney.

The successful Provider will deliver a five-bed residential respite service with nursing care for adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.

The service will be provided 24 hours per day, seven days a week including days, evenings and weekends, and will be provided over a full 52 weeks per year, as defined and detailed in the Essential Standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Except for closure for staff training (4 days per year) and Christmas closure arrangements to be agreed with the nominated liaison team manager who oversees referrals to the service.

This contract will be for an initial 3 year contract period, with an option to extend up to a further 24 months subject to Commissioner discretion and requirements (5 years in total). The annual value is forecasted to be circa £680,000.
