Scope
Description
The bulking, sorting and onward sale of Flintshire County Councils kerbside collected recycling material, including:
comingled plastics (processed and onward sale), paper and cardboard (processed and onward sale), food (bulked on site only), glass (bulked on site only). Direct tip 5 days a week with scope to decrease this to 2/3days and haul in the remainder, material tonnage will remain the same with either option. There is potential for additional materials to be introduced to align with legislation including but not restricted to flexible plastics.

Engagement process description
We would like to hear from any suppliers based within the Flintshire or surrounding geographical areas who would be able to meet our kerbside disposal requirements.
If you are able to provide the service covered by this notice, please email procurement@flintshire.gov.uk with a brief overview of services by 12noon on 7th January 2026.
Please note that due to the nature of the contract the service provider will need to be based geographically close to Flintshire.
