The current contract delivers two online educational courses as an alternative to prosecution for non-endorsable fixed penalty notices. The government has recently announced it will shortly publish a new Roads Safety Strategy. An extension to the current contract will avoid re-procurement of the existing terms when there is a possibility the penalties for at least one of these offences might change meaning a new contract under different terms will need to be procured
