This notice relates to the procurement of an insourced Neurophysiology Diagnostic Service at Washwood Heath Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC). The service is intended to expand capacity, reduce diagnostic waiting times, and support delivery of national RTT and diagnostic standards.
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) needs to expand the capacity of the neurophysiology service to address increasing demand for diagnostic investigations, mitigate service backlogs, and support delivery of timely, high-quality patient care.
A provider of insourcing services will be contracted to provide that capacity and the provider will supplement the existing in-house service, ensuring patients have equitable and prompt access to essential neurophysiological diagnostics including electroencephalogram (EEG) and electromyography (EMG).
This procurement seeks an experienced provider capable of delivering safe, compliant, and efficient services on UHB sites, aligned to national standards and Trust priorities.
The contract will be awarded for a period of 12 months with the option to extend for up to a further 24 months.
