Description
Nexus requires suitably qualified and experienced legal advisors to support Nexus on a project to plan, procure, design, construct, commission and safely operate a new signalling system as part of the MetroGo project. Other significant elements include identifying and procuring property suitable for a new control centre and other packages of land adjacent to the Metro Infrastructure. More details on Nexus' requirements are set out in the Specification.
The contract term is 84 months with an option to extend for a further 36 months, so as to ensure that Nexus' requirements are fully met within the MetroGo project that is in itself subject to the endorsement and approval of the Outline Business Case (OBC) by Government in due course, and this legal retainer is expected to encompass the advice required to (i) prepare the content of the OBC; (ii) implement the agreed strategies set out in the OBC; (iii) deliver the OBC & Final Business Case strategies and, in turn, commission a new signalling system via the MetroGo project.
The exact scope of work during the commission will be subject to the timely progress of the project and is set out in the Specification.

This is a competitive, multi-stage tender consisting of the following stages:
Stage 1: Procurement Specific Questionnaire (PSQ):
The PSQ stage is designed to help Nexus identify and shortlist tenderers who meet the minimum capability and compliance requirements for the scope outlined within the specification. Please ensure that all questions in the PSQ documentation are completed in full.
Stage 2: Invitation to Tender (ITT)
Shortlisted tenderers from the PSQ stage will be invited to tender. Final tenders must be submitted in accordance with the timetable and instructions set out in the ITT. All successfully shortlisted Suppliers will be invited to attend a supplier presentation. This will form part of the quality evaluation process.
