Lot 5. 2 Radar training kits

Description

2 complete educational radar platform with transmitter, receiver, and antenna, demonstrating range, Doppler, and waveform principles. Low-power, classroom-safe hardware with bench or tripod-mounted antenna. Software supports real-time analysis, multi-user teaching licenses, and data export (CSV/MATLAB). Includes passive and active targets, USB/wireless interface, instructor/student manuals, and interactive courseware. Hardware enclosures are student-safe; CE and UKCA compliant. ISO 17025-traceable calibration provided for range, angle, and amplitude measurements. Accessories include cables, mounts, transport case, and rechargeable power supplies. Features include scanning antenna, angular resolution ~1°, range up to 10 m, SNR >96 dB, and adjustable experiments for range, Doppler, waveform, and target detection. Supplier provides instructor training, warranty, software updates, and maintenance support. Optional upgrades: higher-frequency radar, phased-array modules, or advanced Doppler/waveform experiments.

Supplier must provide comprehensive training for instructors and technical staff, covering instrument operation, experiment setup, measurement workflows, calibration procedures, troubleshooting, and classroom instruction. Refresher or advanced sessions and access to online resources should be included.

Safety and EMC: Equipment must comply with all relevant safety standards and EMC regulations, including safe operation in a classroom environment.

Lot 6. 20 academic software licenses including Electromagnetics and Acoustics modules for use in teaching

Description

Software must support modelling of electromagnetic waves, RF and optical phenomena, pressure and structural acoustics, sonar and multiphysics coupling. Licenses are for teaching purposes only, support networked classroom access, and include student and instructor support, updates, documentation, and installation assistance. Please provide pricing, license terms, maintenance agreements, and any training options. License must remain valid for 2 years.

Staff training should be provided as part of the offer (onboarding, feature training, or equivalent).

Lot 7. 2 Computer based training and experimentation system

Description

Computer-based training and experimentation system for vocational and further training and education. Incorporates all interfaces (including inputs and outputs, switches, power supply, power lead, USB cable and signal sources and measurement circuitry) needed to perform experiments. The Interface is controlled via the connected PC, with software, operating manual and training documentation provided with the training and experimentation system. Intelligent measurement interface supplies analogue and digital measuring and control inputs/outputs. High quality item of laboratory equipment with virtual instruments. Students' progress monitored and electronically documented on the basis of fault finding experiments. Faults simulated by the hardware as well as tests of knowledge.

The system includes 3 sets of experiment cards (including all connectors, hand tools, cables, accessories, storage case, software, manual and training materials) for delivering courses on transmission lines subjects:

Lot 8. VNA Kit 100khz-44Ghz

Description

A compact vector network analyser system equivalent to the specifications outlined in the referenced datasheet. The instrument should offer 2-port measurement capability, wide frequency coverage, and high-accuracy S-parameter analysis suitable for laboratory teaching and research. The solution must include all required software licences, time-domain analysis features, calibration tools, connection interfaces, cables, and accessories. Installation, configuration, and commissioning at our premises are required.

The analyser should support reliable, repeatable measurements, operate from a PC-based interface, and integrate with existing laboratory networks. Documentation, user guides, and calibration certificates must be supplied. A minimum two-year license validity, software updates, technical support, compliance with UK relevant safety and EMC standards must be supplied. Vendors must also provide staff training, including instrument operation and measurement workflows. Quotations should include pricing, delivery schedule, warranty details, maintenance coverage, and available training packages.

Lot 10. PLC Based teaching kit for groups of 15-20 students

Description

Two versions of an industrial automation training system are required: (1) sixindustrial control trainer with conveyors, actuators, sensors, and fault-finding features, supporting PLC integration, sequencing, timers, counters, and safe low-voltage classroom use; and (2) one SCADA based PLC- teaching set with discrete/analogue I/O, actuators, sensors, and simulation software for programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Both versions must include multi-user teaching licences, all cables and power supplies, robust construction for repeated student use, and full instructor and student learning materials.

Description

Function Generator: Must produce sine, square, triangle, pulse, and arbitrary waveforms up to 12 MHz, with programmable amplitude and offset, low distortion, and BNC output.

Oscilloscope: Dual-channel, ≥100 MHz bandwidth, ≥200 MS/s sampling, sufficient memory, trigger options, and clear display with waveform measurement functions.

DC Power Supply: Two independent outputs, 0-20 V, overcurrent protection, and digital voltage/current display.

Digital Multimeters: Two units for voltage, current, and resistance, ±0.5% accuracy, clear displays, robust for classroom use.

FPGA boards with development tools for digital logic and embedded system exercises.
