This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) contract modification notice, under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act Regulations 2024 do not apply to this award. This contract has been formally modified.

seven.1) Description of the procurement after the modifications

seven.1.4) Description of the procurement:

This modification is to update the contract to include Cognitive Impairment Beds service and subsequent funding. Approximately 10 cognitive impairment beds are required to enhance local capacity to facilitate hospital discharge for West Place.

These beds are for short term placements (maximum stay of up to 6 weeks) to support individuals who require an enhanced level of care following discharge from an acute hospital or a community hospital rehabilitation setting or to avoid an admission to hospital are for patients with dementia and who have enhanced level of need due to challenging behaviours.

Individuals who do not (or no longer) require acute care or clinically led rehabilitation care, but whose level of need and complexity precludes safe delivery of care at home, can be admitted to a short-term intermediate care placement.

Recurrent Cost

1st October 2025 - 31st March 2026 - £366,000.00

2026/27 (Full year) - £733,000.00*

2027/28 (Full year) - £733,000.00

2028/29 (Full year) - £733,000.00

2029/30 (Full year) - £733,000.00

Total - £3,298,000.00

*An annual adjustment of contract value will be expected to be applied to the providers of these services which is in line with the national cost uplift factor (inflation/efficiency factor) applied to the that aligns to the QEHKL contract baseline.

There is no change to the duration of the contract, which remains 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2030, inclusive of a 3 year optional extension.

This modification is made at the discretion of the relevant authority and the modification does not render the contract or framework agreement materially different in character and:

• The cumulative change in the lifetime value of the contract or framework agreement, compared to its value when it was entered into, is under 25%.

This modification is permissible in line with Section 13 - 2A and 2B (ii) of The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
