four.1.11) Main features of the award procedure
This award is being made under Regulation 12 (7) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015. The contract implements cooperation between ourselves and London Councils as Contracting Authorities with a view to achieving the common objective of improving, access to, and the statutory coordination of, support services for children and young adults impacted by violence and exploitation, as well as improving access and coordination of information sharing and exchange. This award is in the public interest because with better coordination and cooperation between statutory agencies, and commissioned services, we seek improved outcomes for children and young adults who have been made most vulnerable to violence and exploitation, as well as seeking a long-term reduction in violence and harm. We have assessed that this award represents less than 20% of the activities performed on the open market because, MOPAC view these activities as only appropriate and possible to be undertaken by a local authority or a statutory partnership representing local authorities. For this reason, these do not represent activities to be performed in or by the open market.
