Description
Kent and Medway Towns Fire Authority (the Authority) are seeking to engage with suppliers of remotely operated subsurface vehicles to a demonstration of Remotely Operated Vehicles for the search, location, and retrieval of a simulated subsurface casualty.
The controlled demonstration will simulate an operational scenario to assess key capabilities.
•Scenario: Subsurface Casualty Location and Retrieval
Suppliers will be required to demonstrate their product's ability to:
1.Search: Rapidly and effectively sweep a designated area to identify the presence of the simulated casualty.
2.Locate: Accurately pinpoint the horizontal and vertical position (depth) of the simulated casualty.
3.Retrieval: Demonstrate the products ability to undertake the safe and effective retrieval of the casualty.
Key Focus Areas:
•Accuracy and Precision: Of location and depth measurement.
•Speed of Operation: Time taken to successfully locate the target.
•Usability and Deployment: Ease and speed of system set-up and operation.
•Data Output: Quality, clarity, and utility of the information provided for retrieval planning.
This market engagement is not a guarantee that the Authority will proceed to a tender process and participation in the demonstration will be at the expense of suppliers.

Engagement process description

Suppliers will be invited to attend a two hour demonstration on Wednesday 11th December 2025 at Teston ME18 5BX, once suppliers have registered their interest they will be contacted via Delta to organise a time.
It should be noted that this market engagement is not guaranteed to lead to a tender process and that suppliers particiapte at their own cost.
