Description
Lancashire County Council is seeking tenders for the provision of Asbestos Waste acceptance and Disposal services.
The services required are the acceptance, weighing, and Disposal of Asbestos Waste from Authority Waste Facilities, Waste Collection Authorities in Lancashire, associated fly-tips, and any other sources in respect of which the Lancashire County Council or the Waste Collection Authorities are responsible for the management and disposal of Asbestos Waste.

Description of possible extension:
The initial term will be three years, after such time Lancashire County Council may extend the agreement by a further period or periods up to a maximum of 12 (twelve) months, provided that the total duration does not exceed 4 (four) years.

Framework operation description
Lancashire County Council intends to conclude up to three framework agreements with the three highest scoring Tenders. Where a Tenderer has submitted more than one Tender, (e.g. where a Tenderer proposes to accept Asbestos Waste for Disposal at more than one Provider Facility), should more than one of its Tenders qualify as one of the three highest scoring Tenders, that Tenderer may be invited to enter into a Framework Agreement in respect of each of those Tenders. Lancashire County Council will enter into a maximum of three framework agreements as a result of this procurement.
If Lancashire County Council elects to source services through the Agreement then it shall award any Contracts in accordance with the terms laid down in the Agreement by placing an Order with the Provider offering the lowest cost solution (the Most Competitive Provider) to the Authority's requirements in respect of the Asbestos Waste which is to be the subject of the Order, calculated with reference to the Contract Rate, the Authority's transport costs and any other applicable costs.
