two.2.4) Description of the procurement

South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation (STSFT) Trust delivers a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures which are essential for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of various medical conditions. The authority is seeking a remote radiology reporting service provider to support the Trust in its patient care. The main aim is to ensure timely and efficient provision of diagnostic reporting to meet the Authority's operational requirements, national NHS England turnaround times and support patient care. The requirements will differ dependent on the point in time to include, but are not limited to, in hours and out of hours reporting, routine elective reporting, emergency reporting and second opinions.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Intended Approach Notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulation 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
