This is the fourth variation to the contract.

Contractor instructed to carry out further works within original scope at a cost of £2,869,956.12 ex VAT

Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:
These modifications are required due to a combination of ensuring continuity of the required contractual works and allowing enabling works for asbestos related works uncovered during the course of the contract. UKHSA intends to issue before the end of 2025 a Preliminary Information Notice in respect of the forthcoming competitive tender for asbestos removal and replacement works.
