SMBC provides essential community equipment to support independent living and hospital discharge. The current contract is due for renewal, and the Council is exploring options to enhance service delivery, compliance, and value for money.
The future contract may include:
• Planned Preventative Maintenance
• LOLER inspections (every 6 months)
• Reactive repairs
• Out-of-hours support (24/7/365)
• PAT testing
• Installation and minor adaptations (e.g., ceiling track hoists, modular ramps)
• Data recording and reporting via IT platforms (e.g., TCES)
