Description
We are inviting providers to share their ideas, innovations, and capabilities to help us shape the future of day opportunities in Wirral. This is a chance to influence the design of services that promote independence, inclusion, and wellbeing for people with disabilities and other support needs, while also providing meaningful respite for parents and carers.
We are particularly interested in:
• Creative and community-based alternatives to traditional day services
• Digital and technology-enabled solutions
• Models that promote employment, volunteering, and lifelong learning
• Approaches that support people with complex needs in a personalised way
The Council is undertaking this engagement under Regulation 16 of the Procurement Act 2023 to:
• Refine the commissioning approach
• Shape the future modernisation of the service model
• Understand market capacity, innovation, and interest
As part of the review process, the Council wishes to undertake Soft Market Testing. The purpose of the testing is to allow the Council an opportunity to refine its approach and shape our Day Opportunities offer.
Soft Market Testing exercise is published on the CHEST portal (https://www.the-chest.org.uk/) where interested parties can access the document.
This notice is published in accordance with the requirements of the Procurement Act 2023 but must not be considered as confirmation that any future procurement opportunity will be forthcoming as a result, or in the way publicised herein. The details included in this notice remain subject to change as the Council's commissioning and procurement strategy develops.
