Description

Preliminary Market Engagement Event - SYMCA Tram Depot Refurbishment Project re management and co-ordination re the refurbishment and upgrade of the SYMCA Nunnery Super Tram Nunnery Depot in Sheffield.

SYMCA is hosting a market engagement event to include individual one-to-one sessions with interested suppliers.

The purpose of this event is to share details of the upcoming procurement opportunity, stimulate market interest, gather feedback from the market, and provide suppliers with an opportunity to ask questions and express an interest.

Following the market engagement period, SYMCA will consider all feedback received both on the day and from completed questionnaires (which will be issued by e-mail to all attendees) before finalising the procurement strategy.

The proposed refurbishment and upgrade works for SYMCA's Nunnery Depot, Sheffield include: -

a) Renovation Works - internal fit-out/redesign of office, welfare, and workshop areas to provide modernised fit for purpose facilities.

b) Roof refurbishment - replacement of the depot roof to extend service life and improve energy usage and performance.

c) Mechanical and electrical upgrades - replacement of central heating, ventilation and hot water systems, switchboards, life-safety systems, and rewiring.

d) Wheel lathe replacement - decommissioning of existing equipment, pit modifications, and installation of new lathe.

e) Wash and sand plant installation - demolition of existing facilities, new base and drainage works, equipment installation and canopy construction.

f) Wash equipment plant room extension - creation of additional accommodation for wash plant control systems.

The depot must remain 100% fully operational throughout the period of the works.

The overall estimated Programme duration is 12-18 months with the work phasing/co-ordination of critical items including wheel lathe replacement, roof refurbishment, and wash/sand plant installation being essential to ensure programme timescales are met.

11.30-13.00 - Site visit to Nunnery Depot

14.00-1700 - Supplier Engagement

Following the depot visit, individual slots will be allocated to suppliers for direct engagement. These will be arranged once attendance numbers are confirmed.
