The London Screen Academy is a specialist Sixth Form Academy in the London Borough of Islington. Part of the Day One Trust, it has 833 students on roll and over 80 teaching and support staff. The Academy is located in a former factory in Islington. The 80,000Sq Ft factory was built in the 1930s and was transformed into a world class film Academy in 2019. There is one busy main restaurant with a modern, well equipped and compact kitchen. There are no LGPS pensions in the catering team.The contract is starting on January 1st 2025 and an accelerated two stage restricted process is being used for the procurement. The Academy continues to forge a bright new future for the students and the film industry under the leadership of the Principal, Charlie Kennard MBE. The Academy Business Manager, Laura Defrates is developing the services to reflect the high aspirations of the Principal and SLT; she is tendering their catering services to deliver the very best service for every student at the

The contract is for an initial three-year period, there is an option for both parties to extend the contract for a further two years subject to client satisfaction and mutual agreement on budgets and service levels. This contract will reward maximising sales and FSM uptake through pro-active management and consistently high levels of food quality and tangible contract support. The School and CCL expect the successful Contractor to guarantee their financial proposal within reason and deliver excellent standards.
