Direct award justification
- Additional or repeat goods, services or works - extension or partial replacement
- Extreme and unavoidable urgency
The vehicles are heavily customised internally with racking, storage, work benches and tail-lifts to support the Trust's service clients who rely upon the services offered by Bristol Centre for Enablement.
Transitioning to a new supplier would involve significant technical and operational challenges, including the reconfiguration of equipment, retraining of staff, and potential service disruption.
Additionally, market intelligence indicates limited capacity and responsiveness among alternative suppliers to meet our specific requirements within the necessary timeframes.
A direct award is justified under Schedule 5, Paragraph 2 of the Procurement Act 2023, on the grounds of technical complexity and the need to maintain cost-effectiveness and continuity of service.
