GMCA 1612
Description
The GMCA recognises that choice and access to employment services and programmes for refugees and people seeking asylum differs across Greater Manchester. This has been highlighted through research, mapping of existing support and the establishment of Refugee Welcome Programme (RWP). RWP partners have noted a gap in provision for specialist personalised employment support and employer engagement and liaison for this group.
The project focuses on increasing opportunities for refugees and people seeking asylum to enter meaningful employment, GMCA are therefore seeking to award a contract for the provision of regular, personalised employment support for people seeking asylum (with the right to work) and refugees in Greater Manchester. GMCA are seeking to award one provider or a consortium with a single lead partner to deliver this work. In the case of a consortium, the lead applicant's details should be provided on the application.
*** A preliminary market engagement session was not undertake as this was a quantified service. However, the GMCA proposes to undertake market engagement to inform bidders of the vision and objectives of the project*****
