Description
Kirklees Council is looking into a potential procurement option to put in place future contractual arrangements for suitably qualified and experienced organisations to deliver overnight Short Breaks for children and young people with disabilities aged between 0 - 18.
To support this, we would like to gain information from the market regarding a number of issues related to the potential procurement exercise. Suppliers are therefore invited to consider the programme requirements detailed in this document and complete the attached questionnaire to give us feedback on the proposed approach.
It is a Kirklees Council priority to provide the best possible outcomes for all children, young people, and families, especially our most vulnerable children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Kirklees invests in a wide range of services that support children, young people, and families with additional needs.
We are seeking providers for the provision of overnight short breaks care for disabled children provides temporary short breaks for families by offering care during the night. This type of care can be crucial for parents and caregivers, allowing them to rest and recharge while ensuring their child receives the necessary support and supervision.
The setting you deliver from must be located within the Kirklees boundary.
We are proposing to split into two lots as below -
Lot 1: Overnight short breaks in an OFSTED registered provision
The Council is looking to commission a block booking in an OFSTED registered provider in Kirklees to deliver overnight short breaks over 52 weeks including Bank Holidays. The Provider must be OFSTED registered with a rating of good or above.
Lot 2: Overnight short breaks in a CQC registered provision with on-site nursing support
The Council is looking to commission a block booking of a CQC registered provider in Kirklees to deliver overnight short breaks 52 weeks a year. This provision will provide specialist overnight care for children with health needs in a regulated setting. Children and young people will require onsite nursing staff to ensure that the child's health and support needs are fully understood and appropriately met. The Provider must have an CQC rating of good or above.
