Description
Lancashire County Council is seeking tenders for the provision of residual waste transfer services in East Lancashire.
The requirements have been split into four lots covering the four East Lancashire district areas of Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, and Rossendale.
The Services will comprise the acceptance, weighing, segregated storage, handling and loading of Residual Waste arising from the Waste Collection Authority district area and delivered to a Provider's Facility by the Waste Collection Authority, the Authority and/or their transport contractor(s).

Description of possible extension:
The initial term is two (2) years from the service commencement date and the Council may, in its absolute discretion, extend the term by a further period or periods of twelve (12) months up to a maximum of twenty-four (24) months. At either the end of the initial term or extended/maximum term, there may be a requirement for the services to continue, in this instance the services may be re-procured.
Options
The right to additional purchases while the contract is valid.
The initial term from the service commencement date will be two (2) years with the option to extend by a further period or periods of twelve (12) months up to a maximum of twenty four (24) months. The total maximum Contract duration from the service commencement date being four (4) years.

Description

Description
The services will comprise the acceptance, weighing, segregated storage, handling and loading of approximately 21,250 tonnes of residual waste arising from the Hyndburn district per annum.

Justification for not publishing a preliminary market engagement notice
A preliminary market engagement notice has been published (see OCID ocds-h6vhtk-05950c) . However, following market engagement the Authority has decided to publish two separate tenders which relate to the original pipeline and preliminary market engagement notices. The Find a Tender system appears to only allow one tender notice to be linked to an OCID, so the checkbox for this particular notice has had to be unchecked to allow for publication of this tender notice.
